As a woman who has had big lips my whole life, I’ve seen the transition over the years of how people view them. From being bullied, to sexualized, and now receiving flowers, I have felt all the feels as related to my God-given blessings. So I decided to spin it a little and take advantage of them being the center of attention – but I’m not a public speaker and the posts on this blog aren’t items I would want to publicly speak about. Writing gives me the freedom to be myself with no judgement and this blog is giving others the chance to “check my lips” in a way that I personally deem acceptable. Not only is writing therapeutic for me, but it is a hobby I’ve always had. Now I use it to document my life lessons I come across and share them with you because I can’t be the only one going through these types of things.
Here is where I’m comfortable and one of the ways I gain my power. Hopefully you can gain something from all of this, too. If not, at least you will probably be entertained. I appreciate the support that I’ve received on this journey. I’m happy to be able to tap into my creative side more often that not. Also, its good to know that my writing is liked by more than just my mom (LOL).
With love,
Ms. Checkmylipss
